Online Jobs: Work From Home With These Companies
69Lets face it, the reality of finding a long lasting legitimate online job is not as easy as one might think. There are many, and I do mean many, websites out there that spout their lists of online jobs. Work from home resources are not all they claim to be. In fact, many online jobs / work from home websites are full of fluffy non-jobs. The truth is, most of these jobs require a lot of time and effort only to result in little earnings. I personally have tried some of these so-called online jobs (surveys, get paid to listen to music, forum posting and the like). All combined, my average earnings netted to about $2.00 per hour and the "work" was so tedious and boring I could not handle more than 2 hours per week. Which is why I don't recommend any of the often discussed - and proclaimed "great-way-to-make-money" - techniques.
So what are you to do if you are like the millions of others out there who seek an online job ? Perhaps you lost your "regular" job - the one where you commute to work at least 5 days a week - and you thought you'd give a try at working at home. Perhaps you just want some extra money to make ends meet. Whatever your reason, online jobs - work at home online jobs - are out there.
Here's one more reality: you still have to work hard. Legitimate work from home jobs don't come easy. Don't be discouraged, though. You may have to kiss a few frogs...
Legitimate Work From Home Jobs
So, in the spirit of providing my fellow work at homers with some legitimate home jobs they can sink their teeth into, here you go:
Accounting / Bookkeeping
If you have a background in finance, banking, accounting or bookkeeping then feel free to check out these companies. Utilize your current skills.
Education / Tutoring
For those who love to teach.
Mystery Shopping
What is mystery shopping? Basically, you are sent out to different retail stores, restaurants, and businesses to gather information, secretly, about services and products.
Translators / Interpreters
Do you know another language? Why not put it to good use?
Website Usability Testing
One of my personal favorites. In this line of work you view new websites and report on the usability of the site. You give feedback to the website owner of the positives and negatives of a website- from how easy it is to navigate the site to the color scheme - in order for the website owner to make better usability decisions.
