Online Jobs With No Fees vs. The Big Naughty

I have come upon so many so-called companies who claim they offer online jobs. Online jobs meaning "work online when you want, where you want, as much as you want". At least that is what I think of when I seek an online job.

So what is the big deal? What's wrong with obtaining an online job? Well, nothing. At least, nothing as long as the company doesn't charge fees. I find it amazing how many companies actually charge a person to work for them. The pathetic thing is more companies are doing this to take advantage of the lack of traditional "9-5" jobs. They think people will pay a fee for work because they aren't able to get a traditional job.  This defeats the purpose of actually working to earn money, doesn't it? That is what I call "The Big Naughty". You have probably heard it over and over: NEVER pay to work! Companies who charge a fee - no matter how much - to give you work is really not, in my opinion, a legitimate company. Additionally, the work provided is often sporadic at best, and the payout is minimal. You should always make it your goal to to seek online jobs with no fees.

Many companies are now outsourcing their work. They often refer to their outsourcing needs as part time jobs form home. For these companies, It's less expensive for them - less overhead and all that stuff. The type of work varies from one company to another, as does the work status - full time vs. part time, employee vs. contractor. It is important to understand what you are getting into. Know what you will be doing. And remember - don't pay any fees to work for any company. I can't say that enough.

Besides the fee part, what should you watch out for?

  1. Don't fall for the "get rich quick" scheme. Don't believe you can make big profits just because the company says you can. In reality, a lot of hard work is required to make a lot of money.
  2. Many companies who offer online jobs with no fees often seek individuals to work just a few hours a day - or week. Remember item #1 ? Yeah...a few hours of work won't net you a fortune.
  3. Understand who you are dealing with. There are many companies who state their online jobs are no fee, however, they charge for training materials. I would not even go for this. You're still paying them something, right?
  4. It never hurts to ask for references or opinions. I like to post questions about a potential online job on one of the many business forums I frequent. Chances are pretty good that someone else has heard of the company and can offer some great insight.
  5. Be leery of this phrase: "You can make hundreds of dollars a week just from working at home !" Sounds like crap if you ask me.

Just as with a traditional job, with an online job you have to be honest, and work hard. Although you may be a contractor and not an actual employee you are still responsible for your actions.  Just because you work online and are not subjected to the daily scrutiny of a boss, you still have to account for your work.

So Where Can You Find Online Jobs That Don't Charge a Fee ?

There are soooooo many websites that tout online jobs. In all honesty, though, the majority of the jobs are simple "get paid to do surveys" or "make money posting ads", and the like. I personally don't like these as they don't represent a real job. They are, however, techniques to make a small bit of spending cash. If your goal is to have an online job that is very similar to a traditional job - in effort, time, and money - then take caution while searching. Remember the 5 points indicated above. And the number one rule: don't pay a fee.

My favorite website to find online jobs with no fees (yep, that's the link to my favorite site) has researched the many jobs they have indicated within it. From online accounting to virtual assistant jobs, there really are several options. They claim the jobs within the site are no fee, and the ones I have looked at are just that. A second option to locate online jobs from legitimate companies, those who don't charge fees, is to visit any website and look for their careers link. This link may be indicated as careers, jobs, work for us. You get the idea. Click the link and see what jobs they have available. Many of them are actually online, work from home type jobs.

One last word of caution: online jobs with no fees are out there, you just need to go into your job search with your eyes wide open. Read the fine print and don't pay any fees.

OKAY, I WON'T PAY ANY FEES!!! Lots of good advice here, and I need some because I'm actually looking for online work, other than surveys and creating ads, of course, the usual crap. Later!

Loraine:

You can visit this site for a ton of legitimate work from home jobs: http://www.ewomanweb.com There are several data entry jobs within the Data Entry section, but I feel compelled to say that the competition for such at-home jobs is very heavy. You may want to look through the Virtual Assistant or the Transcription Jobs sections.

Freelance Writers are one of the world’s best sources for anything needed to be created from marketing, to advertising, to press releases, and even websites and newspaper articles. These writers can make a living if done correctly (and saying they have the skills and talent needed to compete with the best)! Writers normally enjoy an easy lifestyle to complete their projects and most things are strait out and easy. Not everything is easy about Freelancing; a lot of hard things are the basics of anything we do for work.
